One of my top 5 favorite projects at National Geographic Kids is this 256-page square trim duo that takes a whimsical look at the origins behind things we use or see all the time and seldom know the history of. I had a blast setting the style, designing and creating photo illustrations for the first book, and art directed an out-of-house designer on the sequel, More Surprising Stories Behind Everyday Stuff. I also contributed a lot of the little quote quips sprinkled throughout the books. Both covers designed by me.
